AMD’s resurgence in the CPU battlefield has been the tale of many a bard for the last couple of years. Still, the decision from a major manufacturer to switch from Intel, the de facto CPU kings of yesteryear, to AMD is quite a highlight.

The Zephyrus G14 will include the Ryzen 7 4800HS CPU. ASUS has also managed a deal to be its exclusive user for the first 6 months. The 4800HS will be a slightly faster version of the regular 4800H, which in itself is a beast clocked at a base of 2.9 Ghz and boosting all the way up to 4.3 Ghz on all its 8 cores. The CPU supports hyperthreading, so users will have 16 threads to play with.

Pricing and Availability
We here in India aren’t the luckiest folks in terms of technology. It’s usually more expensive than the rest of the world, and late to arrive. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is expected to launch between the $1500 – 2000 mark. That translates to a probable launch price in India of about INR 1.2L – 1.6L. Pricey, but for the right people and for enthusiasts, a worthy upgrade indeed and a true Alienware competitor.
