Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G- A hit or miss!
The wait is finally over and Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G. A sequel to its current blockbuster the Redmi K20 pro. Powered by Snapdragon 765G, a mid-range mobile processor. This SOC comes with an integrated x52 5G modem. For countries that do not have 5G infrastructure yet, the company has launched a cheaper 4G version too.

The camera department gets a level up on the new phone. This time it comes with a 64MP shooter combined with Sony’s latest IMX 686 sensor. This is the first in 2019 to get a 64MP camera. Along with that, it has a quad-camera setup. But there are no specifics on the functionality of the lenses yet. But our guess is that it will have 64MP primary lens, 5MP telephoto lens, 8MP telephoto lens and 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera has a dual-lens setup. A 20MP primary lens with a 2MP depth sensor(our guess).
On the display side, Xiaomi has a massive 6.67inch FHD+ panel for its new device. It will have a 20:9 aspect ratio with a punch hole for the camera setup. The company has however decided to go with an IPS LCD panel this time
The K30 5G will get a 4500mAh battery with 30W fast-charger support, which Xiaomi claims will completely charge the phone in an hour.
The device will run on MIUI 11 with Android 10 onboard. Therefore it will have the best of both the worlds. From system-wide night mode from android 10 to beautiful looking always-on displays from Xiaomi.

The company has decided on 4 colour schemes options namely Deep Sea Light, Time Monologue, Flower Shadow, and Purple Jade Fantasy. Along with gradient colour patterns.
Opinion
Yes, 5G is a promising technology and the next big thing in the smartphone industry. But not all countries have a fully functional 5G infrastructure setup. Even the Indian telecom industry is yet to finalise and take solid decisions on 5G implementation. So let’s see how things turn out for this device. What are your opinions on Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G?
